About

Speed up your drawings with Markup Assist, a tool for quickly inserting text, symbols, and dimensions into your drawings. In just a few steps, you can take what you see on screen and easily bring it to your drawings, where you can edit it as you see fit. You can also now seamlessly insert feedback from printed paper or PDFs, and incorporate this information into your drawings, again in just a few steps. The latest version of AutoCAD® software also includes:Dimensional Data and Dimensioning:Quickly add and edit dimensions in one location. A new Dimensional Data window displays all the dimensions in your drawing, along with key information about their size, position, and other properties. (video: 1:37 min.)Dimensional data is also available from other files, including Excel worksheets and text. A new markup assist tool for inserting Dimensional Data includes a rich palette of tools to make it easier to add and edit dimensions, including parameters. (video: 1:50 min.)Visio-like drawing navigation and drawing management:Navigate and manage your drawings using the new Paper Viewer. This new view displays one or more drawings at a time, with all the drawing’s drawing components showing at once. (video: 1:19 min.)A new drafting pane lets you attach text notes, annotations, and other drawing components to any drawing view. You can now add text notes, and annotations to any drawing view, and the Notes pane can now display all of your notes from all your drawings at once. (video: 1:50 min.)Multi-view modeling and viewing:Draw as a whole or by parts and design parts, regions, and assemblies in your CAD drawings. (video: 1:29 min.)AutoCAD® now provides a two-view feature that lets you view multiple views of your drawing at once. AutoCAD® 2019 introduced this concept, and in AutoCAD® 2023 you can now view all the dimensions and other information in your drawing in the same view. In AutoCAD® 2019, the two-view feature is available from the View menu, and it can also be accessed directly from the Modeling menu, which lets you draw as a whole, and view the design parts, regions, and assemblies as they appear in your model.
